This small box conveniently fills the gap between matchbox sized plastic cases and the more conventionally sized handheld boxes, where the latter may be too unwieldy for certain uses. The moulded black plastic box is 124mm long by 33mm wide by 30mm deep, internal; 120mm long by 30mm wide by 25mm deep. It has a removeable lid which forms a good seal, and is secured with four self-tapping screws, which are supplied. Ideal for small, handheld probes, miniature circuits or even as a housing for the protection of a block of screw terminals serving as a junction box for a number of cables, etc.

The lid is retained by 4 x 35mm countersunk plated screws.The upper part of the box has a lip running internally around the edge, this is to ensure that both parts slot together. Due to the construction of the boxes the maximum size of a rectangular PCB board fitted horizontally is less than the internal dimensions (see dimensions below). Type BM12 is provided with slots in the base for holding vertically either three or five (depending on orientation) 2mm thick PCBs. Type BM22 has slots in both halves.
Type BM11 is available in white (Order Code CC81C) and black (Order Code N46CA).
